Today despite my perpetual self induced fatigue
I wrote an essay based on Plato's Allegory of the Cave, and The Similie of the Line
I came away with a few conclusions:

1) Reject the image filled reality we have been force fed since birth
2) Happiness is based on fullfillement.
3) An image based reality leads people to believe that fullfillment is found by amassing more "things"
4) Conclusion #3 causes people to have an empty, shallow, hollow idea of happiness.
5) Society is constantly lying to you.
6) I have no idea how to stop myself from rejecting a false reality.

After all of this, I realized that the only reason I am in college, is so that i can chase after a false idea happiness and fullfillment and consquently the only way I reached the conclusions (when i did) was because I was in college.
The irony is numbing.

I haven't posted in forever...and i have so much to say...so I'm going to start posting again for the sake of my own sanity and so that people can read about my awesome/not so awesome life...or not read...whatever either way it works! Here's a recap of my college news!

-My hall is awesome and it's like my family here! When i get a camera i will take lot's of pictures
-There are really hot boys here, but they are mostly assholes.
-I chipped my tooth and looked like a hick...again!
-I found a really cool female dentist, and I can watch tv while i get my mouth cleaned or worked on!
-I'm learning how to deal with guys.
-I'm finally learning how to deal with a roommate
-I still miss my friends, and kinda want to go to school in North Carolina.
-I HAVEN'T GAINED FRESHMAN 15!
-I'm toning up because we weight lift for crew!

Wow i really suck at posting, but somehow i have managed to do all of my work!
Let's see...
I have not gotten drunk since i've been here, which is really funny to me because i spent so much time in high school drinking and partying.
I finally have settled in...and by that i mean i've pretty much started crew and have my work study job all figured out.
Sometimes i forget that i'm in college and the thought of it makes me giggle!

Moving in was a pain, but somehow i got all my stuff to fit.
All the people that I have met have been nice.
There are some really cute guys...alot of really nice guys...and then like a bunch of overly aggressive guys that remind me of Christian Kucab. (yall know what i mean!)
I haven't gotten to homesick yet...but I really miss my friends!
White water rafting was equally cool...and i fell out of the boat...which wasn't bad....and jumped off a rock...which was kinda scary!
Yeah i can't think of anything else that i would want to say...so get at your girl...i want to know how college and things back home are going!

It's not hard to decifer...he wrote to another guy on the trip..."Uizafol' butt Uiznis" And this guy is 70 year old Yale graduate and a member of there secret society, as well as an ex-professor at Davidson... Saturday: Well we (Stephanie, Zena, Kama, and myself) were suppose to go bowling immediately but we ended up going to the mall and I'm not sure why we went there but it was fun. We all went bowling but Stephanie and I took a detour, and then ended up playing a really funny game with bumpers. Then we went to IHOP and had some good conversation with some pancakes!

Fahrenheit 9/11 was excellent, Micheal Moore did a great job clarifying the information about 9/11 and disclosing both the Bushes close relations to Saudi contacts and Asama Bin Laden. It was so great to finally be able to have a greater understanding of that whole situation. If you're republican, and you really love Bush, you should see this movie and maybe you'll just get a better understanding of why people hate him so so much! I mean...you might as well be informed about what's going on! It seems like everyone else is...22 million people saw it last weekend and today at 1:00 at the matinee the theater was packed!

Anyway it was pretty good...GO SEE IT!

ok, this is Sarah P.! I was super excited to see her because i haven't seen her since about the 4th grade and she use to be my favorite girl scout friend. Anyway we met her at Sertoma with some other Sanderson people that were super chill. We all just mingled and had a good time and then...Kyle, Kevin and Calvin showed up. (I call them the KKK crew or wait krew!) Kevin wanted to see Stephanie, but wow Kyle was real good looking...Anyway i don't have a picture of them. I had to pee so i went with Stephanie out in the woods and left my digital camera there! Anyway...I was tipsy so I left it there and we went to West Millbrook Park...We pretty much did the same thing there...but while everyone but Stephanie and Kevin were back in the park....the cops rolled up! We were all kinda freaking out but he just told Stephanie and Kevin to find a hotel room even though they were'nt doing anything...so no one else got in trouble! WHEW! We left and Stephanie took me back to Sertoma I got my camera and we had a good laugh about how dumb I am! BACK to CHICKFILA!

Well my computer has been broken for the last few days so I have been unable to write anything in my bloggy..but that's ok because nothing monumental has happened..

The other night...Monday night to be exact, i went to the movies with Pieter, Worth, Taylor, A3, Erin, Emily, and Jessica this really cool girl that Pieter was trying to get wit. It was interesting it was my second time seeing Dawn of the Dead...so it wasn't that exciting for me...and i was a little taken back by how loud and loud they were. It was like they pretended that no one else was in the theater with them...

I still don't know how i felt about that...it was all just really surreal...it was my first time seeing them since graduation...yeah ok i don't know what to say...

Anyway last night i spent time with Amanda and that was good. We did our favorite activity...watching MTV! I don't think it could be that much fun with anyone else...and her frogs are adorable...even if they scare me!

somehow raleigh can be boring and entertaining at the same time
for the first time ever i saw a show on hillsborough st. with angela, and i saw dani and rachel ashe (who i haven't seen since like the 6th grade.) the band was pretty good, and the drummer and guitarist were incredibly hot...
then we headed home and i was going to call amanda but it was like 10 and all i felt like doing is lounging, so somehow angela and i decided to go to wal-mart...where i got some fabric that looks like hamburger and hotdogs on top of picnic fabric and this yellow and white polka dot.
i think that i really want to make clothing this summer or at least try to make clothes.

last night was one of those nights that i wish i had brought my camera just because i think it's important to show how many creepy old men were lurking around Jillian's on college night.

I danced with the scariest guy ever, he was really little like he might have been as skinny as AJ, but he was way taller and his head was enormous like James Kotecki, and he followed me around the whole night, until finally, I was just like..."that's enough of that! you can leave me alone."

overall the club was fun though...i danced with a real hotass and then i stopped to perculate, and forgot he was there and so that was the end
of that. Whoops!

I thought that Laura was looking for this hotass named RJ, and i thought that i knew who that was, but it turns out that i didn't and she just ended up talking to this guy whose name was dave. But damn that girl can network, I really hope that she gets a job there...and can get me a BAND! (cough cough)

Joanna met a cute Nigerian guy that had a british accent...and is going to central for a law degree...I'm not sure what i think about that...but hey british accents are always hot! oh wait...make that HOTT!

i can't help thinking that everything is all of a sudden disgusting and wrong and confusing...
And all at the same time enlightened and magnified times 50 fucking billion...
i don't want to see some people again...i don't even want to know that they exist and i don't want to hear about them...
i think the best thing about graduating...is losing touch with people that were probably just dragging you down anyway...and cherishing the ones that don't blow dick...
my goal in college is to learn how to deal with the fake
to turn on the light and make it real...
this summer will be fun..
but now i'm caught wondering if i was trying to escape raleigh charter or just escape myself...
could someone remind me- what's the definition of optimism?
